Young artists thrive in a real working studio where they are surrounded by original artworks, professional materials and an inspiring creative environment. For many students, simply walking into the studio sparks excitement and imagination before the lesson even begins.

Jen has developed a unique step-by-step teaching program that allows each student to learn at their own pace while developing strong artistic foundations. Every lesson introduces new painting techniques, colour theory, composition and creative problem-solving in a fun, encouraging atmosphere.

Students choose from Jen’s carefully curated image library, with each artwork selected to support specific learning outcomes and progressively build new skills. This personalised approach keeps every lesson fresh, engaging and motivating.

Each student completes an A4 canvas painting to take home at the end of every lesson, providing a wonderful sense of achievement while creating a growing collection of original artwork.

Throughout the lesson, students also develop their artistic knowledge by recording techniques, colour mixes and creative notes in their visual diary, helping reinforce their learning and encouraging ongoing artistic growth.

As students become familiar with the studio, they gain confidence setting up their workspace, selecting materials and working independently valuable skills that encourage creativity for life.

Private lessons can also be enjoyed with one or two friends, making a fun and memorable creative experience while still receiving plenty of individual guidance.

All professional art materials are supplied, so students simply arrive ready to create.

Palette Knige Painting Workshop

Jen Jay’s Art Studio in Peregian Springs

Pallet knife painting is a fun hands-on way of getting you into painting without being too technical. Working with luscious thick paint, and a pallet knife achieving a textured semi abstract painting.

With step-by-step instructions Jen will start the introduction of the palette knife utensil, mediums, and techniques that you can sample to gain confidence and knowledge in. You will be working on an A4 size canvas with Jen, learning coordination application and just how far you can push this medium. You will be taking your own painting home.
Tea and coffee is available.

$160 to be paid in full to hold your place.

Cancellation one week before date of your workshop to receive a refund, alternatively you can rebook for future workshops.

Jen provides everything needed, including easels, canvases, paints, brushes and all art materials. She sets up, guides everyone through the painting step-by-step, then packs everything away at the end. Corporate groups can also choose a customised painting experience or commission a collaborative canvas created especially for their workplace, conference or event.

Pricing is tailored to your event, travel, group size and canvas selection, with packages starting from $60 per person. Price maybe subject to travel.
